Hope & Joy

Hope & Joy Mission Statement

Welcome to HOPE & JOY!  HOPE (Hellenic Orthodox Primary Education) is the ministry for children grades K-2nd while JOY (Junior Orthodox Youth) is the ministry for children grades 3rd-6th.  Here at our St. John the Baptist parish we combine the Hope & Joy ministries.

The mission and goal of the Hope & Joy ministry is to lead our children into experiencing the Holy Orthodox Faith.  Participating in the Hope & Joy ministry allows our children to build a strong bond with their Orthodox friends and lays out the foundation and tradition of our Orthodox faith through worship, fellowship and service.  The bond they create now with each other and our Lord, Jesus Christ, will guide them and strengthen them through out their lives. We welcome all children grades K-6th to join us through out the year for our gatherings which include the Fall Festival, Boxes of Hope outreach program, Christmas retreat and party, Souper bowl of caring, Holy Friday retreat, and much more. There is no fee for joining the Hope & Joy ministry and we welcome parent participation and involvement.
